Cary is one of the most desirable places to live in the United States. Cary families value a way of life that includes education, sports, entertainment, excellent career opportunities, and beautiful subdivisions with pools, tennis courts and golf courses.

No doubt the Research Triangle Park established in the 1950’s greatly influenced the growth of Cary. However, much credit has to be given to the Cary leaders who launched a balanced growth strategy in 1977 that has brought Cary from a small community of 7,500 to the technical hub of 145,000 it is today. Cary’s strict zoning and regulations keeps the quality of life high. You won’t see neon signs or billboards in Cary. You will see beautiful landscaping and beautiful homes throughout the town.

Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources maintains 30 parks with a variety of activities from picnic areas, playgrounds, baseball fields, soccer fields often combined with greenways and 50 miles of trails. There are many family orientated live concerts and events held at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre and Sertoma Amphitheatre at Bond Park. In 2012 Cary hosted the NCAA championship for soccer, baseball, cross country and tennis at the WakeMed Soccer Park, the USA Baseball National Training complex and the Cary Tennis Park.
